How to install your Ham Council plug in Pendant Lights

You will need: the hardware that came with your light, a drill and drill bits, a studfinder, a pencil, and a mallet or clog.

Determine where you want your pendant light and mark where the hardware should go lightly with a pencil

With your studfinder determine whether you are drilling into a stud or just plaster. I installed this pendant light in plaster so I will show how to hang it with drywall screws. If you are hanging from a stud you can skip this first part. Drill a hole slightly smaller than the clear plastic piece that came with your hardware.

With your mallet or shoe tap the clear plastic piece into the hole. It should be snug.

Separate the two pieces of hardware from each other.

With a drill bit that fits the metal screw, put the screw through the base of the hardware.

Drill this screw into the clear plastic piece, or if you’re drilling into a stud, drill directly into the wall or ceiling. It should be tight. This is what is holding the pendant up.

Fit the cord in the hardware so that the cord is as far deep in as it can go.

Screw on the top of the hardware

Each light comes with two pieces of hardware, the second to help manage the rest of the cord.
Install the second one wherever you want.

Screw in the lightbulb and straighten out the shade and all the beads. “Floof it,” until it looks the way you want it to.

Enjoy!!
