Marketing seems to be to people what sauce is to my son.
He says, and I quote: THIS IS YUCKY FOR ME!
Are you thinking of starting a business (or recently started one?) let’s use this session as an opportunity to craft a voice for your business.
Thanks to Al Gore’s internet marketing is wonderfully democratic. The apps are free and the sites are cheap enough. Combine accessibility with a general “moist-esque” nausea most people associate with the idea of marketing and there’s a tendency to dismiss the effort.
Personally I think marketing is fundamental foundational vital critical. I think marketing and making should be equally matched efforts. And I know that approaching your marketing strategy as a business defining philosophy will help you hugely. If you have clear plans and independent systems, it is no longer housed in your body next to all the fragility of your emotions and moods and vibes.
Marketing is an opportunity to define what you are to your business, and what your business is to the world. Thinking about your marketing strategy, your voice, can be quite foundational.
Choosing to market the thing you’re making / service you’re offering is the same as giving yourself permission to do it in the first place.
This is for someone who is starting or already running a very small business. Perhaps you are the entire business. And you have the social channels and you have a newsletter, but you’re not stoked about any of it.
I would love to help.
